What do you love most about living in Seattle?
Having lived in Europe, South America, and Los Angeles, I can confidently say that Seattle’s natural beauty and diverse topography are unmatched. On a sunny day, there’s no place more beautiful.
What would be your perfect day?
My perfect day starts with an early morning coffee and conversation with my wife before the kids wake up. The morning would include paddleboarding on Lake Washington, followed by burgers on the way to the mountains. We’d enjoy a quick hike to an alpine lake, braving the freezing temperatures for a swim. The day would wrap up with a long dinner with friends, and I’d be in bed no later than 10:00 PM.
What are three goals you’re working on outside of work?
I’ve humorously told my kids that no one is allowed to move out of our house until they can build and manage a budget and play an instrument. When they challenged me on my own musical skills, I had to admit I couldn’t play anything. So now, I’m learning to play the piano with one of my daughters, aiming to be proficient in the coming months. Additionally, I left college fluent in Spanish and am working to regain this fluency by seeking out every opportunity to speak the language. On the travel front, we have our sights set on Southeast Asia, hoping to visit family in Japan and explore Vietnam and Thailand.
