Our Herd Freed Hartz executive search team was honored to partner with Sagetech Avionics on a nationwide retained executive search to find their new CFO.
Sagetech Avionics is an aerospace manufacturer known globally in the defense and unmanned aircraft industries for their robust and extremely small avionics products. Formed in 2019 in the heart of the outdoor recreation haven of the Columbia River Gorge, the company has grown from a dozen to over 50 employees. With an industry-leading position globally, supplying FAA and DoD certified products to manufacturers of large UAVs, government defense agencies, and next-generation transport aircraft (eVTOL) manufacturers, Sagetech is poised to accelerate Sagetech’s growth dramatically over the next 1-3 years.
An agile, “scrappy” startup mentality has enabled the company’s success to date and will continue to be a key part of Sagetech’s culture. At the same time, near-term major defense and other contracts indicate a need for structure and scalability.
Sagetech’s track record of success and market potential attracted the private equity investment of Columbia River Partners to help scale up their growth plans.
