Our Herd Freed Hartz executive search team was honored to partner with Cadwell on a nationwide retained executive search to find their new CEO.

Cadwell is a $100M privately-held industry-leading manufacturer of high-end medical equipment for diagnosing diseases of the nervous system, analyzing sleep disorders, and monitoring surgeries involving the spine and brain. Cadwell was founded in 1979 by John Cadwell, M.D., B.S.E.E. and his brother Carl Cadwell, D.D.S.

Cadwell provides neuro-diagnostic hardware and software solutions for hospitals, clinics and private practices across a mix of five product offerings:
• EEG (Electroencephalograph) – Method of recording electrical activity in the brain used in diagnosing epilepsy, sleep disorders and other brain functions.
• EMG (Electromyograph) – Records electrical activity in skeletal muscles and peripheral nerves used to evaluate neuromuscular diseases (ie. Parkinson’s, MS), kinesiology research and neuromuscular injuries.
• IONM (Intraoperative neuromonitoring) – Systems used in spine and cranial medical procedures to reduce damage and give guidance to surgeons and anesthesiologists.
• Sleep – Products used to diagnose sleep disorders such as sleep apnea.
• Electrodes & Accessories – Variety of electrodes, cables, adapters, prep supplies, cases and carts to complement Cadwell’s equipment portfolio.

As a market leader, Cadwell sees many future growth opportunities across: International sales (currently ~20%), developing new technology platform offerings for hospitals, and new critical care patient monitoring and analysis tools. Cadwell is also proud of its industry-leading customer service and support.
